Soft Scribe LLC has over 16 years of experience in transcription and is hiring editors for Legal and Business Transcription.

JOB PROFILE

Responsibilities:

Ensure assigned raw transcripts are reviewed with the audio and every major, minor, grammatical, and immaterial error rectified as per verbatim. The corrected transcripts are to be completed with a minimum quality benchmark.
Proofread and edit transcripts as per formatting guidelines in prescribed formats and grammar
Perform internet research to confirm all terms and names and verify using supporting documents as provided with the audio files
Maintain a low error rate, contributing to very high-quality transcripts

Required Skills:

Listening ability for reviewing transcripts while listening to different accents
Minimum typing speedof 60 WPM is required to type/edit the transcripts
Strong knowledge of financial terms is critical as the Editor is expected to understand the context of the presentation and Q&A sessions
Strong research skills are required as the Editor is expected to conduct company-specific research, review presentations relevant for the transcription process and research participant names
Ability to work under pressure and deliver very high quality within short periods of time
Excellent command over English language including grammar and punctuation
Ability to comprehend varied accents across the world
Knowledge of transcription-related software and Microsoft Word or equivalent
Good research and browsing skills
Ability to meet committed deadlines
Strong attention to detail and be thorough and meticulous
Demonstrate experience in transcribing U.S. legal proceedings as per legal formats for legal transcription
Flexible to work in the evenings and late night for business transcription and take up assignments with short turn-around-time

Hiring Non Medical Transcribers

Soft Scribe with over 12 years of experience in transcription industry looking out for individual/groups of transcribers and editors for legal, business, media and general transcription to work in-house at Cochin or remotely on a full time or freelance basis.

To transcribe and edit audio files as per the required accuracy for Earnings call transcription, Business, Legal and Media transcription files.

1.Transcriber: (Experienced)

To transcribe the work allotted in the prescribed format within the time specified, accurately.
To adhere to the formatting guidelines and maintain punctuation.
To transcribe accurately verbatim without any guesswork.
To verify the support documents provided with the audio files to ensure accuracy.

2.Editor: (Experienced)

The Transcription Editor is responsible for proofreading, fact-checking and editing high-quality transcripts while listening to the audio of webcasts/conference calls covering financial reports of corporations worldwide.
Proofread and edit transcripts against the audio of the event
Perform Internet research to confirm all terminology, products, and names
Maintain a low error rate, contributing to very high-quality transcripts
Assist in building and maintaining terminology databases
Work cooperatively with other editors and with other roles within transcript

Desired Candidate Profile :

Excellent command over English language.
Ability to comprehend American accent.
Knowledge of transcription-related software.
Good research and browsing skill.
Ability to transcribe at 98% accuracy for Editors and 85% accuracy for transcribers.

Job Description:

Ensure complete bookkeeping
Preparation of periodical management reports
Preparation of financial statements under GAAP
Assisting in preparation of audit reports.

Candidate Profile:

Com/M.com Graduate with 2-5 years of experience in managing US accounts.
Hands-on experience in overseas accounting software such as Quick Books, Peachtree, CS Professional suite etc.
Excellent command over spoken and written English language.
The candidate is expected to work closely with the US client to build client relationships.
